Contractor Training

Site Staff Training

Even the best product can be compromised by poor installation.

This is why Sarnafil systems can only be installed by Sarnafil Registered Contractors, whose office and site staff have been trained in the correct use and installation of Sarnafil Systems.

Training of Sarnafil Registered Contractors’ operatives is carried out by the Sarnafil Applications Department at the purpose built Sarnafil Training and Assessment Centre in Norwich.  For contractors in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland, there is a Sarnafil Training Centre in Dublin.  At the centres, operatives are instructed in the specialist techniques required for the successful installation for roofing and waterproofing applications.  There is also ongoing onsite support and advice.

The ground waterproofing training programme consists of a four-day residential course covering welding techniques, system build-ups, accessories and standard detailing.  Throughout this practical training, the site operatives are continually assessed and finally required to complete a written test.  Follow-up training will then be conducted on the site operative’s first project.

Following satisfactory completion of the residential training course, the operative is issued with a credit card sized Sarnafil LINK Card.  This card contains a digital picture of the holder, their unique ID number, their name, the name of the company that sponsored their training, the training completed and the date of issue.  The Sarnafil LINK card is valid for a period of 3 years, after which time it will be renewed free of charge providing that the correct standards of workmanship have been maintained over the previous 3 years.  A fitter not displaying the required quality of work or having spent most of the previous 3 years occupied in other employment will be asked to complete further training.
