Batten Profile
Sarnafil Batten Profile provides the designer with the ability to simulate the appearance of a traditional Lead Batten roll, on any new and refurbishment project, regardless of pitch or shape, at a fraction of the cost.
Installation is simple. The factory produced Batten Profile extrusion
is simply hot air welded to the finished adhered Sarnafil G roof membrane. Individual lengths
are joined together using the Batten Profile jointing piece, which is inserted into the ends of adjoining
pieces to allow for movement.
At run ends, the Batten Profile End Piece is inserted into the angled cut end of the Batten
Profile and tack welded onto the Batten Profile. For the neatest aesthetic appearance, Sarnafil
Ltd recommend that the Batten Profile run is terminated 100mm back from the roof edge.
To imitate traditional codes of lead roofing, Batten Profile should be installed at the
following centres: Code 4 500mm
centres Code 5 600mm centres Code
6 675mm centres Code 7 675mm
centres Code 8 750mm centres
