Non-Sarnametal Details
When it is not possible or desirable to use a Sarnametal detail, alternative materials may be suitable following consultation with the local Sarnafil Technical Adviser.
Common alternatives include, creating the detail from the membrane itself, a metal parapet cap flashing or galvanised steel Sarnafil Detail 2.3.
The galvanised steel Detail 2.3 flashing can be attached to the upstand through the flat area of the trim, at fixing centres stated within the specification. The Sarnafil TG/TS roofing membrane is simply dressed up behind the trim, prior to the trim being fastened through the membrane. The top angled part of the trim is then sealed with Sarnaplast 2235 mastic, after the application of Sarnafil Primer 110.
