AquaDrain
Sarnafil AquaDrain is both a protection
and drainage
layer for use in Sarnafil roofing systems.
The two types
available are:
- AquaDrain
- AquaDrain Sport
AquaDrain Sport
AquaDrain Sport is a 30mm thick protection
and drainage layer, suitable for installation beneath synthetic grass such as Astroturf, enabling the
roof to be designed for amenity. Manufactured from recycled virgin polyethylene factory waste,
with factory laminated slip resisting polyethylene net and 100 g/m² geotextile filter fleece, AquaDrain
Sport provides a stable surface for synthetic sports fields. A slight fall on the roof will aid
drainage of the surface.
Before installation of AquaDrain Sport, all
waterproofing works must be completed and a
Sarnafil Field Technician must have completed a satisfactory final inspection. The AquaDrain Sport
is then simply installed on the roof, making sure that the 100mm overlap of the geotextile filter fleece
is lapped over the previously installed AquaDrain Sport. Large temperature variations during installation
(from 0°C to 35°C in the same day) can affect the dimensions of the sheets of AquaDrain Sport. If
dimensional stability of the sheet is affected by temperature extremes, cool the sheet using water.
After installation of the Astroturf, temperature variations will be negligible and not affect
the AquaDrain sport.
