Walkway
A flat roof offers the designer many benefits, including the provision of an area to mount plant and equipment vital to the function of the building.
In situations such as this, it is vital that consideration is given to the safety of the workers, who will be required to make regular maintenance visits to the plant. Provision of a safe method of access, a safe walkway and possible a fall arrest/fall restraint system should also be given due consideration.
To assist the designer in meeting their obligations under Health & Safety legislation,
Sarnafil Ltd offers two products specifically designed with roof safety in mind – the SarnaTred G/S
and SarnaTred TG/TS walkway tile and the Sarnafil Constant Force post fall arrest/restraint system.
Note: When accessing roofs in frosty or snowy conditions,
standard
safety precautions should be exercised, even when SarnaTred walkways have been installed.
