Sarnacol 2162
Sarnacol 2162 is a moisture setting polyurethane adhesive.
It is used to attach thermal insulants directly to a solvent resistant, absorbent, dry substrate, free from oil and grease. Such substrates include steel, timber or concrete deck and bitumen vapour control layers.
Installation Guidelines
- Remove the lid from the tin and pull out the pouring spout.
- Trim the pouring spout to the desired diameter.
- Apply 4 continuous beads of adhesive per metre (25 - 75 g/m) in an ‘S’ pattern. Note: Some applications may require an increased bead density.
- In the perimeter zone of the roof, 8 beads per metre should be applied.
- Immediately lay the thermal insulation board over the adhesive and press down to make contact with the adhesive.
- Continue installing thermal insulation boards, lightly butted, into the adhesive.
