SBF-SQ3 Loose
The SBF-SQ3 range of fasteners is designed to provide the optimal performance in thin gauge metal and timber decking, when used in conjunction with peel stops, Sarnabar, DTL-70x70 pressure plates and/or Sarnabar Bar End Washer. Suitable for use in combination adhered, Sarnabar or Sarnafast roofing systems, SBF-SQ3 fasteners are covered by Sarnafil’s primary waterproofing guarantee, against both product failure and the design of the roofing systems resistance to wind uplift.

SBF-SQ3 are 6.0mm diameter cold forged self-drilling self-tapping screw
fasteners, with an internal SQ3 square drive and buttress thread form. They are manufactured for
Sarnafil Ltd by SFS Intec Ltd. Corrosion protection in excess of the requirements of Clause 2,
UEAtc directive “Supplementary Guide for the Assessment of Mechanically Fastened Waterproofing” and
Factory Mutual FM 4470 is provided by the Silver SFSintec DUROCOAT. SBF-SQ3 fasteners should be
installed with the appropriate installation tooling, to avoid damage to the deck and to ensure correct
setting.

The DTL-70x70 is a 70mm square galvanised steel washer with rounded
corners for attaching thermal insulation. Suitable for use with SBF-SQ3 or TI fasteners, the flat
surface of the washer makes it ideal for attaching insulation board beneath adhered membranes, as it
reduces ‘ghosting’, associated with many insulation washers. Requires one fastener per washer.

Sarnabar 15/6 is a 3mm thick linear bar used to attach the Sarnafil
membrane in Sarnabar systems. Roll, formed from steel strips galvanised to EN 10142-FeP03GZ275N
Sarnabar 15/6, is pre-punched with 6mm diameter and 15mm holes alternating at 25mm centres to speed
installation.

Peel Stop 15/6 is a 1mm thick linear bar, used at the perimeters and
angle changes of adhered systems, to prevent membrane peel at vulnerable roof areas. 2.125m x
30mm Peel Stop 15/6 is made from roll, formed and knurled steel strip galvanised to EN 10142-FeP03GZ275N,
pre-punched with 6mm diameter and 10mm holes alternating at 125mm centres to speed installation.

The Bar End Washer is a 90mm diameter galvanised steel washer, for use at the end of intermediate perimeter rows of Sarnabars to prevent damage to the membrane.
