Sarnafelt Type GK is a 390 g/m² polypropylene based fleece with a polyethylene
backing, for use as a protective and/or slip layer beneath poured concrete. It may also be used
as a protection sheet under reused bitumen-contaminated gravel ballast. UV stabilised Sarnafelt
Type GK can be left exposed to weathering.
Sarnafelt Type GK is loose
laid, but the 50mm side and end laps must be sealed with adhesive tape, to ensure that cement slurry
does not penetrate the felt at the edges, damaging the polyethylene film backing.
