Sarnafil S
Sarnafil S membranes are manufactured using a state of the art coating process that eliminates shrinkage and plastic memory.
This produces a dynamically stable membrane that can accommodate the tensile stresses imposed by mechanically fastened applications. In the coating process, a polyester scrim carrier is coated on both sides with liquid Plastisol, prior to the application of a lacquer coating on the upper surface and embossing of the surface every square metre with the Sarnafil logo. The unique lacquer coating eliminates the need for biocides, provides the membrane with an easy to clean surface and prolongs the life of the membrane by reducing plasticiser loss. This process also enables between 2% and 5% recyclate to be used in the production of new membranes.
Available in a range of standard, special and custom colours, Sarnafil S membranes provide the peace of mind to design the most extreme roofing system in the most extreme environments, without concern over the system’s ability to withstand the forces of the wind.
Installation on site is carried out by Sarnafil trained contractors, using the appropriate hot air welding equipment to weld all overlapping joints on site, forming a seam stronger than the membrane itself. One of two attachments systems can be used – Sarnafast or Sarnabar – to ensure the system meets the requirements of the specific project.
Sarnafil S membranes have been certified by the British Board of Agrément to have a life expectancy “in excess of 30 years”.
