British Board of Agrément
The British Board of Agrément (BBA) is an independent assessment organisation that audits manufacturer’s production facilities, theoretical performance claims and site practices in the absence of a British Standard.
Generally one of the most significant parts of a BBA Certificate is the durability statement. This is written by the BBA and based on the results of their own internal testing and studies of site experience.

The BBA stated life expectancy for Sarnafil G/S roofing systems is “in excess of 30 years”.
The life expectancy for Sarnafil TG/TS roofing systems is “in excess of 20 years”, due to the relative newness of the product which was launched in 1990. However, independent studies by Swiss independent consulting engineers Basler and Hofmann indicate “under normal conditions of usage, Sarnafil T can have a life expectancy in excess of 40 years”.
