Loose Laid Ballasted Systems
Loose Laid Ballasted systems are typically used on small to medium sized roofs for aesthetic reasons.
The ballast consists of either round washed stone or a roof greening system, such as SarnaVert. Pedestrian systems, such as paving and timber decking, are sometimes referred to as ballasted systems.
Types of System
There are two principle types of ballasted roof construction:
- Warm ballasted
- Inverted ballasted
