Business Transfer of Sarnafil Ltd to Sika Ltd
Construction products manufacturer Sika Ltd has announced plans for the integration of the legal entity Sarnafil Ltd into the main business. The two single ply roofing brands – Sarnafil, Norwich and Sika-Trocal, Welwyn Garden City - will continue to operate separately. Subject to completion of all legal requirements the integration will be effective from the 1st January 2010.
Speaking of the announcement Sika Ltd General Manager Stephen Hearn said “Although a number of experts are suggesting that we could be through the worst of the recession, it is widely felt that it is going to take some time for business to recover to pre-recession levels. With this in mind, the management team have been considering how, during this period of uncertainty, we can continue to improve business performance. Through this integration we create a broader business base that enables both brands to retain their core values.”
Demonstrating what this initially means, Business Unit Manager Nigel Blacklock, announced the introduction of two new ranges of single ply membranes, the expansion of the SarnaVert green roofing system offering and the introduction of a new range of complimentary Sika branded products.
Concluding Stephen stated “These innovations, developed during the biggest recession the world has ever seen, will be ready for introduction early in 2010, and demonstrate Sika’s commitment to single ply roofing. We are confident that by continuing to match our product and system offerings with the needs of customers in individual market sectors we will continue to remain at the forefront of the single ply roofing market for the foreseeable future.”
